hey all

Thought I will need to join a photo forum, as I need advice and help on how to take better pics of my fish and how to spend money on lenses etc..

I have Nikon D60 my first DSLR, so am on a learning curve as time permits. Fish and work and bub keeps me busy most of the time.

Mostly into Tanganyikans, particularly bent on Tropheus, I have the same user name on all forums i frequent.

Hopefully I can put up a few shots into teh comp here, once they are worthy..

Current screensaver.. really want to improve on this,

Welcome!!

Before you go dumping a bunch of money into lenses, I suggest investing in a remote flash. It will make the biggest difference by far IMO.

Welcome to APF!

I agree with Levi, flash first than a new lens. Lighting is critical to aquatic photography.

welcome trofius! :)

that looks like a tretocephalus to me, and a nice one. i used to keep some tanganyikans. if you dig through the aquatic dslr forum, you'll find some of them.

they were my favorite fish to photograph.
