Hi everyone! Well I've been lurking long enough, and I thought it was time to introduce myself :) I've been doing the fish thing for bit (like 18 yrs), but nothing too exotic. It was 2 months ago, that I was at my LFS and saw a FW stingray for the first time. Of course I scooped him up when the kid in charge, while the manager was away, offered him for $59 (plus used my loyalty card to get another 10% off ), but knew nothing on how to care for him and relied on their "expertise". Now that I've been on here daily, I can honestly say they didn't know much!
So right now my little 4.5" motoro is hanging out with my 2 juvie discus, in a 65 gal, as I'm scrambling to find a suitable tank. I have a chance to buy a 180 gal drilled tank, figured it could be a good grow out tank for a bit and I can always fill it with something else later (that's how I've ended up with 5 tanks so far lol). I've never had a drilled tank and don't know if it's the way to go. For $400 I'd get tank, base & oak canopy w/lights. I would still have to get wet/dry system and pump (I have no natural abilty to build anything myself, and I'm not sure I'd trust hubby to build something he has no knowledge about what-so-ever). I've read the stickies, and threads, and it makes my head spin
Sorry for lurking so long, I'll be a brave girl from now on :hearts:
