Hi, I was very happy to find this sight, my wife thinks I'm obsessed with fish and animals so is glad i can talk to someone finally thats not her! She was very understanding about the fish tank I built, it is 3.5 metres square and 1.3 metres deep. The front wall is glass and the others are concrete, its in my tropical greenhouse and is a lovely way to escape, especially the winter weather.
I was up until very recently keeping 14 giant gouramis and 16 oscars in the tank. I say recently because about two weeks ago the whole lot died overnight. I later found a rat in the tank and assumed it had been poisened and then poisened the water, I would be interested in peoples opinions about this.
Oh the biggest gourami was 70 centimetres long!
