Long time lurker, finally got the nerve to join.
I don't have any true "Monsters" but I've kept many cichlids on the "larger side".
ie: GT's,JD's & EBJD's,Oscars, Texas.
Like anyone else I started small.
I thought my bettas were monsters when I was a kid.
My interests changed to cichlids, Cons,Firemouths,Salvinis, Oscars,
Rams,Angels
, etc
I've dabbled in tropical fish too, but now I focus on mainly cichlids.
Once I was able to get bigger tanks, my fish got bigger as well.
My largest fish to date was a Green terror who reached 12". & my biggest Texas was around 9.5"-10".
I've moved on to RD's since I luv their aggressive nature.
I hope/know my big male surpassed my largest GT.
I'm not a noob, but still have lots to learn.
