Hi just thought I would introduced myself, my name is Micheal and I live in SA, Australia. I am 21 and have been into fish for 3 or-so years. I am currently saving for a 450gal (8'x3'x2.5'h) and the biggest tank I have right now is my 220gal (6'x2'x2'5h) and when I get my 450gal the 220 will be free. This is why I am researhing now so I know exactly what I want and have as much info as possiblie. Right now I am leaning towards a Saratoga but I'm not sure yet.

I am hoping to becoming an arofanatic but wont if I cant house one. Do you guys think that a saratoga will be ok in my 6'x2'2.5'h aquarium, I don't want it out growing the tank.


Currently in the 220 I have 3 Oscars that are around 8", 2 GTs 1m=7" and 1f=4", 4 silver dollars, 3 synodontis euraptus (sp.?), 1 13" sailfin Pleco, 1 8" comman pleco, these are my fish.

I am also currently housing fish for my brother which include 6 clown loachs all round 3" and various numbers of jewel, I looked after two of my brothers (he told me they were not a pair) and they bred. I couldn't net them out as they kept hiding and now there are 3 breeding pairs and I've already given away about 30 of them and continue to do so when ever I can catch them.

Oh and 1 kribensis who was a feeder fish but lived and now holds his own.
