Hi All- I am new to this forum. I have several tanks, the largest of which is 125g (all Freshwater)

Last week my boyfriend purchased 2 soon-to-be-huge fish- a Red tail Cat and a RT/TSN Hybrid. I figured I should join this forum to get some tips and advice from those more experienced than I in keeping these huge fish.

I am not new to fish keeping, just new to these guys. They are still small right now.

I am fully committed to providing the best home possible for these fish- I know that is going to mean moving them out of the 125g and into their own (larger) tank.

I was thinking I would start with a 180 or 220 for them. Something with the six foot length but the deeper base. In the future I was considering a free standing pond set up in doors (I saw a cool set up in a LFS that would work well)

Any advice and information is welcome.

Thanks all!!

I had my options set all wrong on this site and was not getting e-mails when I got replies...and here I was thinking no one ever responded to me...Since I have posted we have acquired 2 RTC's, and one large black upside down cat. (Couldn't leave them in the situation they were in- they needed to be upgraded) I have been checking out 8 ft long tanks...I need to get one soon!
