I've been lurking around here for a while now and I finally got around to joining. I've always loved fish and a few months ago I completely fell in love with the different monsters everyone was showing off around here.

After making sure I can keep even the simplest of fish alive I hope to try my hand at monster keeping. :)

Welcome!

I'm a :newbie: myself, so its good to know im not alone.

Everyone on the site has been great and open with saring tips, what kind of fish are you looking to keep?

Thanks for the welcomes guys.

Welcome to MFK! Post some pics up.

I don't have any tanks currently, I'm living with my dad while I go to college and he doesn't have anywhere I could keep them.

Not sure yet. I figure I'll start out with something easier to keep and work my way up to the big guys.

Depends on what your ultimalty shooting for. But I started out with cichlids in a 55 gallon, years ago, Im now upto a 150 african cichlid tank<<<and thats only b/c im limited by my wallet. They are stong fish with amazing behavior that is just fun to watch. And if monsters is what you want some get up there in size. That could help work your way up to the monsters the MFKers have that us newbies to the site envy.

Its funny but some species will just catch your eye eventually. I know b/c Ive tried other types of tanks, I went salt water reef < nothing against SW keepers but I quickly found it wasnt for me. Hope you find your calling.
