Hello folks. Im new around here and just wanted to say hello. It seems to be the thing to name what one has. Well, I have 2 60 litre tanks and 1 240 litre tank. Fish are: 4 angels, 8 glass cats, 10 mollies, 1 siamese fighter, 4 ghost shrimps, 1 albino ancistrus and 4 small plecs. Im fairy new to all this but have become obssessed very fast.

An yes I have a question for one more experienced. My 60 litre tank houses the 4 small plecs (the type that grow around 3 - 4 inches) the albino cistrus and four shrimps. Do you think thats upto capacity. I really dont wanna over crowd. The reason I have put all the plecs and shrimps together is because when they were in the big tank with the angels and mollies they never seemed to get any food. The mollies ate everthing that got even close to the bottom. This meant that in order to feed the plecs I had to overfeed the tank and risk water problems. Also the shrimps were getting bullied and whent into premanent hiding and the ancistrus was getting nipped by the angels. Now they have there own tank everything is peaceful again and the greedy mollies can stuff as much as they like. Anyone else seperated the bottom dwelling fish?

Cheers,

Kit

Welcome to MFK. Yes, I do think you need a bigger tank. Don't think a 60 liter which I'm assuming is a 15 gal. is going to work. I have at least 20 bottom feeder (Cory catfish)
and 1 South American bumble catfish in a 45 gal. and that pushing it (almost) to a limit it self. Not including the tetras and guppies that are also in the tank.
Min. of 30-45 gal. should be sufficient.
