Hi, I suppose im still new in terms of experience with salt water fish but I have had some good success. Especially when taking into account that I ignored some good advice because I was a bit over zealous when I started my 75 gallon tank. But then again Im pretty sure you all know that excitement and how easy it is to give in. Anyway I started with a large number of small predator fish. I had plans of either selling them all back when they got bigger or buying a bigger tank. The tank was surprisingly peaceful even with the diverse predators living with each other. The worst part was a bully chainlink pushing a snowflake around. Either way I fell in love with this tank. I had a freshwater as a kid but they were just kind of there and thats it. These fish reacted and interacted with me for a change. They had visible personalities and man was it cool. Anyway i could go on and on but you all know what i mean. On with my story and what I would appreciate help on. I moved from florida back home to arkansas after college and i did it with all equipment all fish and all 75 gallons of water in 10 gallon ziplock bags and some buckets. After 16 glorious hours of driving we begin setting it up again and ran it through the summer. Then we came down to san antonio (10 hours) with everything all water in jugs this time and low and behold our power company wouldnt turn on the power on a weekend. So some fish store owner kindly bought a tank full of live rock and a bunch of fish classified as large for 133. Feel bad for whoever bought that panther grouper he listed as large and thinks thats all their in store for lol.
So now to the present. I have a 75 gallon tank and all equipment for sale for 450 if anyones intersted ill provide more info in classifieds, and I was thinking about having a tank built into my house so that i can build up a true predator tank. If anyones had a lot of success with this or knows a really good design company please contact me and include cost if you can.
