Hello ray experts im new to stingrays never kept one dunno how to id them and a total newb to them.
i really need help with everything i can get from you guys from what kind of ray it is to if he likes wine with his food, ill take all the info i can get and do my best to make him happy and alive as long as it can.
he arrived today (was ganna take 2 but the other one died on the way to the LFS)and i just got him into the tank droped some frozen blood worms and brine shrimp and i dont think he ate is that a problem?

do lots of research why the hell did you buy a ray and not understand how to keep it water PH GH KH ALL play a part get your noes in a book and dont let animals in your care suffer
 
ok? i asked nicely ive already checked the stickys and some sites before i posted and got the ray. i know what kind of ph it needs and ammonia(0) and all that but is that info enough?
i know how to take care of something better with the more info i have from someone who kept em for awhile and know how to care of em better.
i thought i should post here anyway since this is my first post in the ray section and im new to mfk.
so before some posts reach that rudeness level relax before you end up blowing up.
 
Yea it looks like a motoro, you will need at least a 96x30x24 tank to house it for life. Looks like a nice one. Motoros can get up to a 24" disk and females can get to 30". its a good hardy ray, i would start with earth worms then try some frozen shrimp. He prolly wont eat for a while since he is stressed but eventually it should. You are going to have to do alot of water changes prolly 1-2 50% a week
