Hi,
My friend gifted me a 2" baby Flower horn. I have a 20 gallon tank and I plan to keep him temporarily before going for a 55 gallon tank. Is it okay? Also please suggest me how often should I feed. Presently I feed him 5-6 pellets three times per day. But he seems to be hungry always. In addition I also feed him a feeder goldfish (tiny) every morning. I dont want to enhance his colour unnaturally. Also I am afraid I may do some mistakes in taking care of him. I love maintaining my tank and i used to keep a couple of koi carp, gold fish and an angel. initially I killed a few fishes but now I am changing water atleast 50% every week. After getting this flower horn I gave away my fishes to my friend. Please suggest

Welcome.. and I'm usually a big fan of feeding live foods.. but I would feed him worms or crickets oppose to goldfish along with a good quality pellet. I'm not a big FH person so idk what the best tank size would be but def the bigger the better. nothing more rewarding then a big fish in a big tank and he's active and healthy then in to small a tank and sits there and is less then his best. :D and filtration trumps everything.. a great filter is worth its weight in gold. and I feed my young/baby fish every day at least 2x once in the morning once at night a little bit then on the weekends fast them 1 day... as they get older they eat less often and I fast them 2 consecutive days. good food, good care, and plenty of room = the best fish.
