The loach shot is nice, just a little overexposed on the face.
The other shot looks to be from a very dark photo. When you use programs to make big changes to the exposure, you get the artifacts that are shown in the photo you posted.
For more detailed critique, post a single photo in the Critique or Photography 101 areas.
