I live in Northern Ireland.
I've owned several fish tanks down the years, from 50L to 570L. Various fish from Neon to Piranha, Clowns to Fireball Angels, fresh water and marine. But I'll just explain the most important one (in my mind) -
I owned a 570L tank a few years ago that housed 5 Red Bellied Piranha. I bought them as very small juveniles (3 or 4cm) and had them for a few years until they were pushing 9 to 10 inches. I managed to keep them in pristine condition, with crystal clear water, no health issues whatsoever, fed well and were absolutely beautiful.
Sadly (for the Reds), a few life changes (marriage, living arrangements etc) meant I gave the tank up and moved on.
Well recently the itch has returned and life has settled down, and so I've bought an identical tank as before with an Eheim Pro3e 2078 filter. I also plan to buy 6 or 7 Reds, available to order any time, once the tank is set up and cycled.
I've been looking for an active forum that caters to my interests and finally stumbled upon this one. There are others (that I was a member of during my last Monster Fish keeping stint) but those are dead nowadays.
Anyway, that's enough for now because I'm waffling. I hope to be here for many years to come, learning all the time.
