I'm Adam, in Chattanooga, TN. I have been checking out forums on MFK for awhile now, and I finnally decided to join. Having been an aquatic hobbiest for over 15 years now, I have recently finnished building a diy 375 gallon acrylic tank which I intend to house some cichla, crenicichla, and others. This one will be my 5th tank that is up and running. Others include a 125 gallon holding wild discus, black morpho tetras, farlowellas, and some corys. It's planted with melon and amazon swords, the rest of them are 20-75 gallons all planted tanks.
A little about me... I am a classical pianist and a lyric tenor, I teach private music lessons as a day job, and I am out exploring the mountains and playing in the water during my free time. I frequent the Tennessee aquarium as it is 15 mins away from my home. They really house some monsters... HUGE HUGE white sturgeon probably as big as their adult sand tiger sharks. (They will even let you touch the river sturgeons!!!! They also feature many other exhibits. (seahorses and dragons, Jellyfish, world river systems, oceanic, etc....) The neatest thing they probably do is tracing rain from mountain streams, to river tributeries, into the tennessee river, with a MASSIVE multiple story system, all done biotopically. It's worth a visit, then you could go down the road to Atlanta! about 2 hours away.
I'll wrap it up for now, and I look forward to being a mfk member.
