Hi All,
I am from Australia, and have been keeping fish for many years but have only recently expanded my knowledge in the finer details.
As a teenager I use to keep a small tank full of freshwater fish. Overstocked, too many full water changes, overfeeding, you name it.
In my early 20s I got into African Cichlids. I bought a 3 foot tank, and the fish shop sold me 2 x 1 inch Lombardi. My African setup grew and changed over the net few years, and I even managed to breed some of them, again with little knowledge.
Recently, after stumbling across monsterfishkeepers.com after seeing a youtube video, I went on the hunt for an additional tank in order to keep American Cichlids. A friend of mine had a 2 x 2 x 2 foot tank he wasn't using, so hey presto. I got my American tank. I have a Red Devil and a Blue Texan in it.
2 weeks later, and after several more monsterfishkeepers youtube videos, I bought a 6 foot tank off ebay. It is currently cycling so I have to wait a while to add my new baby monster fish (Barramundi , Archer, Scat, Mono). I really hope they grow big. I have been told the Barramundi will be 30cm in 12 months.
My goal is to get a 8 x 3 x 3 foot tank with a Arowana
in it.
Sorry about writing so much. I am starting to get an addiction to fish keeping.
