I found my way here by mention of this site on a Facebook group. I have an 18" Pacu in 110 gallon by himself, except for his ditherfish and a rafael cat. I've had him for about 6 years now and he *seems* to have stopped growing several years ago, so I never bothered upgrading the tank - except for the filtration. Buddy seems to do rather well on a mix of Medi-Cal dog biscuits (100% vegetable based) and various veggies. It is interesting to read about the concerns specific to fishkeepers with large specimens - no one worries about how they're going to move their 10 gallon platy tank! I also have several small community tanks, assorted reptiles, 2 cats and a dog. I'm a veterinary technician, so acquiring pets is just a job hazard.
