Hi, Thought i would introduce myself. Ive been keeping fish since i was 8 which sadly is a long time lol.
I had given up about 4 years ago when my first Oscar died ( he was 9 but during a move he stayed with a freind 100kms away from our new house for a 6 weeks while the tank cycled and she killed him.
2 years ago my son asked for a small tank for his room and yeah its catching. we started off with the tropical tank ( guppies, swords etc) then i rescued 2 Severums from a freind and got the next tank.
about 9 months ago i got my 90g which has 2 oscars in it a plec and a red claw. my new 120g will be here in 2 weeks and the larger O and the red claw are moving in there. Marx grew alot faster than Carl and i currently have them seperated as Marx has hit puperty and Carl hasnt.
Oscars get feed on a wide variety of pellets and fresh food, including a very small amount of home grown ghost shrimp and the ocasional guppy when the tank gets to full.
Other than that im a mother of 2 small children, live in wonderful queensland Australia and am looking forward to exploring the furoms more.
