i'm mikey. thought i would introduce myself to this great community of fish enthusiasts. :)

i'm a college student, work security, and enjoy all sorts of recreational activities :headbang2

I used to keep fish back in middle school, about 10 years ago, the only reason my love of the hobby faded was my tank broke. ahh, i had many neat fish. a nice tiger oscar, clown knife, silver arrowanas, tiger datnoids.

i finally recently indulged in an impulse buy of a 20 gallon tank setup, and am well on my way to hopefully a nice collection. i know a 20 gallon tank to some of you is probably what you keep your feeders in, hehe, but i do plan to upgrade when the time allows it.

=] i think i have a good idea of how to maintain a tank for the most part, but have learned so much on this site the past few days i had to register.

i currently just have 2 baby african cichlids, and i just got a frontosa today, pretty excited, i wish i was able to afford a more vivid blueish frontosa, but they ran about 15 dollars more than i had, but i really liked this one, it literally stared at me making eye contact from the tank, lol =] i plan to add just another s/t datnoid thats gonna be under 2 inches, so hopefully it'll give the fish some time to grow before i get a new tank.

anyway, sorry for the long intro, lolol. attached are pics for viewing pleasure.

well, i hope it is a frontosa too now, lol. they had a few tanks of frontosas, i was told they're different types. this one is under 2 inches. was 20 dollars. i thought it was one of the different variants of frontosa, possibly the burundi, but i really don't know. hehe. :nilly:

only other fish i can think of it being is a butterkerfri? i used to have one of those too now that i remember, cool fish!

here are more pics, maybe someone can confirm for me what fishy i have? :naughty::headbang2

View attachment 323142welcome to MFK.. nice to meet you.. your little frontosa may end up very blue in time.. right now and even at the LFS he was under stress and washed out... he is a beauty... they love to be in colony and also like a cave or something to hide in... they are great fish.. any questions just ask...enjoy the forum...

ah, thanks for the reply, i must have missed this before posting earlier, sorry for double post.

i was hoping it would become much bluer in some time as it matures, i was told they were mainly on a diet of bloodworms, so i figure the dullness might be attributed to that. thanks for the confirmation. you rock! :)
