my name is renee. currently i have a 29 gallon and a 5 gallon, both fresh water, but want to up grade soon! mostly i keep south american cichlids! at the moment i have a male black convict in my 29 gallon with a common pleco and a tinfoil barb, which is actually my dads fish! we got this fish from another tank owner who wanted to get rid of it because it was eatting their neon tetras! his fish are currently to small to be with this guy so im trying to keep it for him but my convict doesnt like the poor barb much!
in my 5 gallon i have a small jack dempsy and female convict. this tank i am also looking to upgrade to a 10 at least to use for any convict fry that my convicts produce, hopefully, after the dempsy and female are big enoguh to go in with the larger fish (hopefully the barb will be in my dads tank by that time!)!
i've been keeping fish off and on all my life. the first tank that i owned was a 20 or 25 gallon glass tank. i was about two or three and would sit there and stare at the fish while they swam back and forth in the tank (i'm easily entertained! lol)! it was better then tv! we kept mostly livebearers like mollies and platies but eventually we got different types of gouramis and angel fish too! after a few years the tank got broken down and was sold...;_; *sniff* it wasnt until i was bout 11 or 12 when my uncle decided i needed another fish tank!
