Hi Everyone.
Found myself surfing the net at 2:00am and stumbled across this site. Looks like I'm going to be doing a LOT of reading. There is so much info here I don't know where to begin. Awesome site. Looking forward to picking up some good tips on how to shoot my Reef tank!

Anyway, hello from Colorado!

Ken

Welcome to APF, Ken! I hope you'll be able to share some photos of your tank with us soon.

:welcome:

Hey Ken, glad you decided to do a little reading first. We're here to help. Photography 101 may be a good place to catch up and post a few photos that require examples of questions you are curious to have answered.

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

phishphorphun - I saw in another thread where you posted a pic and it showed a flash on a tripod. I posted asking how you did that, but I figured it out. On the little stand that came with my flash there is a threaded hole that you can mount to a tripod. Very cool. I never thought about that! Amazing, only on the site for a couple of hours and already am finding little nuggets.

Can anybody tell me how I can become a paid subscriber so I can upload some pics? When I followed the link I got an error saying 'page does not exist'.

Thanks,
Ken

No need to be a paid subscriber (that has been done away). You should be able to post photos to your gallery, look at upper right of screen. You can also use a photo hosting site like photobucket.com

Thanks Gerry. I'm holding off on posting pics as my New 40D will be here tomorrow. I've had my Rebel XT for a couple of years now and think I'm ready for the next step. Hopefully I made a wise decision. ;)
