I have well water at the place im living right now and everything hes been goin great and no problums. but i will have to eventualy move to a place that has city water, do you think other than chlorine, chloramine, is ther anyting els that could be in the water that could harm the fish? do the miniciple water reseviours use other chrmical producs or anyhtign that you would have to worry about?? I would plan to use a large barrel to delorinate, heat, and run with a carbon filter befor hand, and test pH ect. is that about all you can do? becides RO and then recreating the water all over again haha. jsut curious about what you all do? I kno some add right to the tank from a python for example but i kno here they have been playing around with the reseviours and alot of people who do trhta ahve been losign fish after a water change, so im kidna freakd out. thankyou!

Any city you go to will have a water parameter sheet for you to peruse if you ask. But yes there are other things to consider. I have city water and have seen my NO3 vary from 0-40ppm. I have seen low readings on NH3/NH4 and I have seen high PO4 readings. I would suggest that when you move to do a simple test from your faucet before water changes. Asking for a treatment schedule from your local water purification plant is also beneficial.
