I got a map treefrog yesterday for my biotope. He is my first land frog. This morning I couldn't find him, and upon inspection, I found him under the moss. Is there any reason he would be under the moss. The two things I can think of are:
1. air is too dry and he was hiding under the moist moss
2. temp got too cold at night and he was using the moss as a blanket

I have the tank at about 60% humidity at the top and 80% at the bottom. The temp is 80F during the day and can go to 65F at night.

What do you guys think, and how can I fix it.

look he proble did that to fell safe or to hide from things(like u)
or to warm up a little just let him be dont dig him up he will come up when he wonts to
i ust to keep them thay hide alot (under the moss)

OK that is good to hear. He did have a stressful day yesterday, considering I had to drive 2 hours to buy him. He didn't eat the worms I fed him either, but the guy I bought him from said he usually ate crickets, so maybe I'll buy him some crickets to make him feel more at home.

could u get pics of the little guy

I only got one clear pic yesterday and I am not home right now, but I did post it in the thread about pics of frogs. Anyway here it is again:

Anything specific you are hoping to see by seeing a pic of the frog? Or do you just want to see him.
