High Or Low Grade????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Where did you buy it? The source of purchase could help with your question. But I think your Jag looks fine. I don't really get into that high grade/low grade stuff too much. To me it all depends on the fish that I want and the reasons why. If I intend on breeding a particular species then I would worry about the grade of it. If it's a partciular species that is known to be bred through a lot of inbreeding and limited stock, then I would also worry about the grade of it. But honestly, I have found some really nice cichlids at Petco and Petsmart. The biggest and best Jag that I owned came from Petsmart! They are not widely regarded for their quality of stock but you can find some pretty nice cichlids at these places some times.

Dude you just made a Nice Jaguar Or not Poll just 2 hours ago. You're coming off as way too insecure about your fish. If YOU like it, keep it and if don't sell it. Sorry if that comes across as rude but I keep what fish I like, who cares what anyone else thinks. When I post my fish if you don't like it don't look at it. You're talking to a bunch of cichlid aficionados so most of them will like it. :)

is this what generally jaguar cichlid look like?

Is this the 4" Jag in your sig? It will look different in three or four months than it does now anyway. It's still practically a baby.

Agreed, its your fish, not ours. You will look at it everyday, so if you don't like it, then don't keep it. plus give it time, its still tiny compared to what it will be.
