Hi,

I'd love to keep some type of cichla, but my ph is pretty high. It's always 8.8 at school. If I bring the water from home, I can get it down to 7.8. Is this too high for these, or is there one strain or another that could handle it?

Thanks

Mike

My pH is pretty high too, i think 8.4ish, but my cichla don't seem to mind. You could always add drift wood to lower the pH or even have a waterchange container where you age water with driftwood in it.
