recently got a new teacup ray this week before purchasing all my levels were perfect and ph was about 6.6 today after testing my water it was high about 7.4 after testing my tap water it was very high about 7.8 so my question is any ideas on how to get my ph down to the ideal level but slowly as I don't want it to drop to fast. was wondering if aging the water might help as I used too with my first teacup. Thanks

Rays can handle any ph. Ph swings are what kills them. Dont add anything just match what comes out of your faucet

also wanted to say the high ph was coming from the sink but from the tub it comes out at about 6.8 which I found strange. The reason why I tested both is because from time to time I will use the tub as it takes less time to do the change because the water comes out faster

Does your tub have a mixed faucet "one lever for hot and cold" if it does you may getting some sort of false reading from the hot side" ph from the hotwater tank could have a different ph reading from the minerals etc in the tank . I could be way off but its sounds plausible.
