Well laity in the past few months now iv noticed a huge increase in the prices in fish around town at all the lfs even the big chain stores hear like for example I bought 2 3-4 “ Frontosas for 25 bucks a piece a year ago and now they have some more in for 65 bucks a piece at the same size and a little smaller and the quality of them is terrible at the same store they have one that’s about 9-10” and looks terrible the fins are all chewed up looks real old and he’s wanting 190 for it its been their now for 2-3 months and will probably be thier for more to come another one has Africans all mixed up in tanks ranging from 2-5” any were from 45-65 bucks a piece when a few years back they would sell them for 10-15 bucks at the most to me they are just trying to get over on people selling them stuff that’s not even rare or hard to find for outrages prices but then again they all do have thier own bills to pay and need to make money I still usually go in to see what they have in especially this one so I can talk to his daughter when she’s in but now have basically stuck to getting stuff online or buying stuff on hear from other members i mean theirs stuff so high that I could order it of line pay for shipping and still save some money well I think I kind of wrote to much but has this been happening in other places

Wow.... I could barely read your post! There's this thing called punctuation, it separates thoughts into sentences, and makes people's head not explode trying to read what you wrote!

Now that that's out of the way, sorry to hear about your LFS dilemma, maybe it's time to start buying online?

Its cool that you guys are more worried about my punctuation rather than my question, Thanks.
There was a question in there?

i kinda liked how it was written, it made me feel like i was talking to one of those ranting political guys on the street!!! u know the ones who speak like their on speed. the whole conversation is in one sentence! however, i do think that some people on this forum are trolls. i also believe the purpose of the forum is to express oneself, however that may be...

Yeah bad trolls no cookie! But to answer your question, Yes and no. Why I say this Is i believe alot more fish species are getting harder and harder to import, due to taxing, collection areas. ect. My local private LFS has been haveing issues ordering fish for me that in the past where not an issue from his distributors. Other fish seem to be staying the same price. Has your lfs changed management? distributors, ect? That can and will make a huge change in prices. Thankfully we do have a decent population of private breeders in my area so most of what i want can be locally procured. But others i've had to wait weeks to get and at outragous prices. Most of the pleco species seem to have gone up around here, as well as cichlid. Cardinal tetras have actually come down, as have most the other tetra species you see often. guppies ect seem to be holding about the same. and anything wildcaught has gone up significantly.
