I've seen the picture of that platinum arowana somewhere on google images when I searched platinum arowana. (http://www.goldengod.ru/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/platinum-arowana.jpg) Ask the person whether or not that's just a picture as an example and for some real images. That or this is some really poorly thought out scam. Not even putting some effort into it and just grabbing some random picture off the web.

Guy's rating seem good... BUT look at the text closely, it says the arowana for sale is 7" but the arowana in the pic is clearly much bigger than 7".

O yeah and that pic is stolen off the web, just type in platium arowana in google image. Also that arowana is a platinum, and platinums go for thousands

i find a lot of those adds on aquabid are scams... your best shot is to ask a vendor here on the forums for a silver aro.
 
Take a look at his feedback, many of the them are from the same people and they're only a few seconds, minutes or hours apart. I doubt someone makes that many transactions that soon. ALSO take a look at their comments, looks like copy paste to me. This is extremely suspicious, doubt it's legit. Seriously if you're gonna scam, you could at least put more effort into this.
 
looked suspect to me, i also noticed that the ad said 7-8 inches however the pic is clearly of much larger fish... also noticed his feedback was good.... tried to contact him, but have had no response. will let you guys know if he gets back to me and what the outcome. I am a 3 hour drive from where he claims he is, if he supplies pics, and will let me come pick up i will make the trip.... however, I am not holding my breath...
 
He's in NJ - Newark, takes me 34 mins without traffic or 1 and 1/2 with. If the deals solid, I'd go and check out myself. Sadly it just comes out way too suspicious.
 
i was thinking the same, I was planning on going home this weekend to NYC, and could have stopped by on the way. guess ill wait and see if he contacts me...
 
That white arrow in the pic is in Beijing I think, Fugupuf has it on one of his threads from when he was there. That fish cost $200,000 he said.
