It got so hot today my q tank reached above 90 degrees I got a little worried for my small motoro and flower but they seem to be fine now thankfully. Im gonna turn off the heater during the day tomorrow Im pretty sure the room temp will maintain the heat in the tank.:D

in the summer my tank getts to 90-91 all the time with no problems if you have enought airation

why would you need to turn your hearters off if they have a thermostat they shouldnt come on until they drop to the low temp you have set them for

That is what I thought but i guess its broken because even though the temp was 90 the heater was still on, and it a acura heater and 2 years old.

Yeah i checked the temp like around 10pm and it was at 90 i could already imagine how hot it was at like 4 or 5 in the afternoon.

i keep my tank at 86 all year round with no problems

when it reaches 90 in the summer i just do a 40% WC

i have an alarm that goes off at 91 and im not worried until then

no personal exp here but ive heard from one of Franks friends that they even kept rays aty 37 degrees for a short period of time without any problems. shows how tough they are!

Is that celcius or farenheit?

my old tank's heater broke and the temp went down to 18celcius. Both my motoro breeding pair had fin curl so i was dashing from the sink with boiling water and managed to get the temp up to 24celcius and saveed my breeding pair, which proves how strong rays are. they are in my avantar
