Trying to push temps above 80 degrees on my 6 foot 125g tank for Uaru that I keep. Recently have beaten a mild case of ich… or so I’d thought, and now I see another white spot on the tail of a fish. Regardless I would like to keep the tank at 80-82 and until the ich is gone push it to 86. I have 2 250W Eheim heaters, one on each end of the tank. The heater by the 2262 intake is on most, with the one by the outflow being on less, which makes me think the one by the intake is heating the water and that’s going through the filter and the heater on the other end is calibrated differently so it registers that it doesn’t need to kick on. They have been turned all the way up and the temp is just under 80 most of the time. The tank is glass with glass lids. The ambient room temperature can be fairly cold which may contribute to this at roughly 60 degrees. Are 2 250W heaters enough?

If the two 250w heaters aren't achieving the desired temperature while amped up to the maximum setting, maybe two 300w would do the job.
If that's not possible, try to better seal any gaps that exist on the lid.

I agree with this by ensuing the seal the gaps

I usually leave my lids open on my 135g tank and the temp stays at about 80ish, when I close the lids I achieve a +4 degree increase in temperature.
