Don't want to create a great debate on which is the best, as I've used all three and to be honest noticed no real difference... though I've never fed them all to the same group of fish, until now. My fish seem to prefer the hikari bio-gold, which personally is my least preferred due to a comparison on ingredients. However would the general consensus be that it's still a pretty good staple? As I'd rather use a pellet they readily take to. Thanks and for reference the fish I'm referring to are ca/sa cichlids. My wc mobas will forever be on nls, krill, and other sinking items...

I don't think any one is any better than the other. Your fish may have a preference to one because it is what they have eaten the most. A lot of this food stuff is about advertisement, and hype. I feed my fish HBH, and Tetra and would put my fish up against anyone's fish.

I prefer nls but ike the previous poster said its mostly personal preference. I like the ingredients in nls foods especially algaemax

This might be interesting....could be another "fish food pissing match" thread lol.
I tend to alternate between NLS and Hikari and one does not seem to be any better than the other. That other brand is pretty much nonexistent in the remaining shops here.Only one shop that I knew of even carried it and I have never tried it.

I also use omega one too (not so much latley) and i too havent noticed a difference between that and nls

Thanks, for the input. I know this can be a touchy subject, lol. I mixed up the bio gold and grand sumo and that's what they are getting for now. Once that runs out, I'll probably stick to the bio gold and leave the nls for the fronts. They have mostly been eating blood worms, mysis, krill, and earthworms anyways. Trying to get some rapid growth so I wanna make sure they are stuffing themselves several times a day. I swear you can literally watch a small trimac grow...lol

Just to throw one more in there. What are the thoughts about massivore? I have a bag of it and have thrown a pellet or two in, even though it is too big, but the fish take to it like crack. I'm not planning on using it beyond the bag I have since it likely is the smelliest fish food out there. Just curious on your thoughts? The ash content on it seems silly high (max 17%)

Im not a fan of power feeding but do feed my polys massivore sometimes....i look at it like candy for fish. I dont use it as a staple but others on the site love the stuff. Im sure someone will chime in
