I bought some of this for my Jag and he wont touch it any ideas? I usaully feed it blood worms and brine shrimp. I was hoping to get it to eat some pellets will it eat when it gets hungry enough?

If they are hungry they will eat. My jag was hooked on feeders now he loves omega one pellets. A guy on here said he won't starve and he was right. Never used Hikari gold though so not sure

I dont know I heard it was a good food for jags. I will just keep on trying unless anyone els has any ideas?

I dont know everything I have ever fed him has floated. I just think he is being picky or it is just something different. It didnt eat one time for a week becuase I removed some plants in the tank.I put the plants back in and Bam no problems.

Id start with a sinking pellet first (assuming you have the floating kind)

I've actually found parachromis species to prefer eating pellets from the surface...

Try Hikari Bio gold +. It has garlic in it to help the predatory fish want it. It's great for carnivorous species. My jags, Dovii and Umbee love it. Also wait 4 days or so without feeding anything then start with this. It will start eating them sooner or later.
