Was curious about hikari's products... so I asked the following.

Dave - thank you for taking the time to contact us and for your support of our products. Yes, the floating and sinking formula are the same, the only difference being the package size and the fact that one floats and the other sinks. Cichlid Bio-Gold+ should be used as a daily diet or the benefit of the Hikari Germ cannot be fully realized. The Cichlid Staple is a growth diet while the Cichlid Gold is a color enhancing diet that also provides good growth.
