Hikari Massivore Substitute???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thera +a or just the standard large fish formula.

But I think either foods are good quality. Doesn't seem to really make a difference if it's hikari, NLS, Omega1, etc... As long as it's a good quality food and not something cheap.

Right now, I'm feeding Massivore Delight, but I switch between that, NLS, and Omega1 depending on what I find at the store for cheap.

Is there any substitute for Hikari Massivore? Something that can make your fish fat and grow big fast. Are there any?

NLS Jumbo Fish Formula would be much better than Massivore. If your fish is 4" or less, feed a pellet size of 1mm. 5"-10". 12"+ feed 3mm sized pellets. Anything larger than 12" and you could feed the Jumbo Fish Formula which comes in 4.5mm I believe.

nls mega fish formula, only thing is your fish has to be able to swallow it whole. its a really hard pellet

Oh fail. Forgot to add that for fish 5"-11" feed 2mm pellets.. Ignore the 5"-10" above lol

In the USA, when puchasing in the bulk sizes, per lb NLS cost less than half of what Hikari Massivore costs.

5lb NLS - $50
2.2lb Massivore - $50

... and IMHO NLS is twice the quality.

NLS also makes a sinking 6mm TherA pellet, which should cover any fish that will eat Massivore.

Really? I got to try it. Who in CA sell this 5lb NLS? LFS only has small chubs.

If you go to the vendor section here and click D&S aquatics, you can buy 5 pound tubs for $55 with FREE SHIPPING. It ships fast too. That's where I get mine.

Hmm... So time by time I have to change the size of the pellet?
