Prawns/talapia/tiger shrimp. This is what was told to me by the Old way of Cichla keeping. It would be nice to see this tested by someone with a controled feeding program.

To all that said pellets where is your proof? Can you show me a picture of your 24'' Cichla? Or better yet an adult cichla that has been in your care for the full five years it takes them to reach adulthood?

OP I think your going to have to make a choice and stick with it or do as I believe would benifit them best feed them SHRIMP to bulk em up and pellet's are like feeders a little afternoon treat or snack. So double your pleasure.
