My senegal is 9-10" long and currently feeding on trout worms and Tetramin bottom feeding tablets (they're actually for the cories, but he often steals them). I want to start him on a meatier pellet food and am pretty fixed on Hikari products.

Between the Hikari Sinking Carnivore and Massivore Delite, which would be better to feed him (more specifically, which would be the more appropriate pellet size)?

im goin with sinking carnivore with mine just because the massivore really stinks up the water an your entire house when its not ate within like 5 min.

Just be careful, because senegals like to be pigs and grab another pellet before the other goes down their throat and the pellets mush up and they choke. I have lost 2 decent size polys this way. I would suggest sinking carn, but still be careful because they can be quite greedy.

i just lost my 8" delhezi this morning :(
Anyways... he used to love eating both... but i ended up just giving him massivore which he had no problem fitting in his mouth... they also extra smelly so he could easily find them

Thanks for all the replies.

I think I'm gonna go with Carnivore to lessen the likelihood of my beloved Dr. Steve Brule (that's my sen's name :] ) choking on pellets that are too large for him.

And thanks for warning me about the smelliness of Massivore. I don't think my roommates would have appreciated it very much!

neither really smells bad per se as long as you don't overfeed and they finish the food in a timely manner so the pellets don't stay in the water for too long.

However, the reason why carnivorous fish like these pellets so much is because of the strong smell, so it's hard to expect there to be no smell whatsoever at all.

And if you let both sitting in the water for too long, both can stink, not just the massivore.

those are too messy for me, IMO. If you must use Hikari, I would just get sinking gold. I like to feed my bichirs NLS Thera.
