hikari sinking pellets (water quality)

has anyone else had thier water turn clowdy and then clear up like 2 hours later from feeding them?

yea for a while it does... im thinking with having the prego female and the other rays in there my wet/dry and fx5 are working overtime even thought its like a 100 gallon sump... it must just takes a while to break it down.. I have another fx5 on the way bought it last night after seeing the movement figured i could hook that up into my main tank and then when i get pups i transfer the old fx5 to the 150 for the pups

It makes my whole house smell like a zoo when i open the package, and for a short time after feeding.


when i feed too much i might notice a little cloudyness in the water but nothing too bad.

They do cloud the water and stink up your tank thats for sure. Only the smaller pellet does this the larger massivore is not bad at all.

i actually bought sinking cichlid (hikari) this time becasue i thought the other way around that the massivore stunk worse...
