I found this weird loach that looks amazing, I know places can suck the slime coat off polys but does anyone think this guy can? They are quite possibly the coolest looking loach I've ever seen, hell coolest algae eater in general I have ever seen!! I am picking some of them up (2 of em) so they are going into my molly breeder to see if they can't buff up, if they can't stand up to the poly w/o being eaten or not suck the slime coat off them they'll stay in the breeder. I know the chances of someone having this combo is slim, but please check out the pic and tell me what you think!!

They look like a little stingray to me, and I cannot wait for the day I can own an actual Leopoldi, but this lil guy will do for now :) haha

They are little, I mean really little buggies out there, they're quite good in a community tank like for bettas or sort, but for a poly tank, it'll end up as a snack. What's more they're skittish, shy, and most likely hide and once you saw it it maybe half or floating with a bite mark.

They are a temperate water fish and would not do as well in tropical temperatures. and they max out at 3" so they would be a birchir snack

the guy at the LFS said when i asked him about them they get like 6-7 inches but he must have been thinking of the wrong fish haha, i will be using them in a poly growout tank though so i just dont want something potentially stripping the slime coat off the baby del ill be picking up next week

very cool fish, i had plans to setup a tank for them specifically, theres a few different species. they like relatively cold water and very high flow. not good for most tropical predator tanks unfortunately
