For a 30g, stick to 15-20 hillstreams but bear in mind, they vary in size. The ones often available are Beaufortia kweichowensis, Sewellia lineolata, Gastromyzon sp. and Pseudogastromyzon cheni.

So what kind of hillstream loaches can Alex get in the shop? When you going to have this tank up and running? If you need me to bring anything up from SD just lemme know!

In the next week it will be up and I am using some "test" fish. My tiger barb and some white clouds to get it set up the first 1-2 weeks. All of the water is pre-cycle aquarium water and the tank was previously running up to 1 year. All of the rock and stuff is already going in another tank to be transferred.

AB, I might need some SD stuff but I will let you know. Do you think the water quality change would be detrimental to the fishes if you transported them for me from SD?

I dont think that matters really. What is the pH of SC water? If it is super different (which I doubt) then we'll just have to gradually acclimitize to SC water. I'd be more worried about the transportation up. If I can ill get them a couple of days prior just so I know that they arent being fed! But ya just let me know cuz pet kingdom has like 30 Sewellia lineata in right now
