I recently bought 4 hillstream loaches to add to my breeding racks.
3 I am almost 100% certain are Sewellia Spp. "Spotted"
But the 4th one looked nothing like the "Spotted" or the other Sewellia Lineolata in the tank so I bought it as a single fish.
In this link to an ARTICLE ON LOACHES, the 3rd pic down looks strikingly similar to the one I am trying to ID. Does anyone know what it is.

Two pics. Not very good but waiting for him to settle a bit more and color up. Not too shy at all and was immediately active. Sharing a tank with 2 glowlight danios and an old white cloud.

After some researching it does appear to be breviventralis. I did wonder if it may be a sub-adult S. Elongata but I think the tail patterning leans more to breviventralis.

Another pic or two

This is the "breviventralis" tank. I will look for more to add to the tank and will also add more celestichthys choprae to bring the group to 6-8 and hoping to add some leopard danios when I can find decent quality non long fin varieties here. The tank has good circulation and the "filter" is an old milk bottle with floss from another tank when cycling it. It has been replaced by a sponge filter.

Checking the ID on these two guys as well.
What I thought was 3 Sewellia spp. "spotted" turned out to be 2 "spotted' and one S. lineolata
The Spotted???

Believe the last two IDs are correct.
