New member here,
Looking for some help.
I have a 125 gallon long 72x18
Was looking to getting a new hinged glass top for the tank,
But i have ran into a problem everyone i find online is for a tank that has a center brace 2 pieces or a 3 piece one, my tank has no braces, and i really didn't wanna put a brace in, i like the brace less look,
wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found a solution? My only other idea was to go to my local glass shop and have them make me one, but that could get costly i think, not really sure? So i am reaching out to a community for help

For a 6' aquarium... the brace is the best way to go. You made the right choice.

It doesnt need a brace it is one of thoes old school thick glass tanks but to make the glass lid work i am going just put a brace in for it to rest on

Without the brace 6' of glass tops would bow under its own weight... over time I think it it would be a problem. The brace you put in place needs to be structurally sound.
