Today I found these little guys swimming around in the tank. 6 total!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. 2 did not make it and were dead when I found them. The other 4 are in the nursery tank. I think there are 3 females and 1 male that made it. 2 males did not make it. These are fat little buggers. No yolk sacks at all. Probably about 3" wide at birth. They were all very much the same size. And very fat too. These are the fattest pups I've had. I think this is my 5th litter of pups.
The first group of pictures is the 4 that survived. Then I took pics of the ones that didn't make it. One was very red and seemed to be bleeding from its mouth, but no bit marks on the disk at all. I flipped them over and they both have what seems to be some internal bleeding by the anus. Both were fully developed. Last 2 are of the mom. She looks like a deflated balloon. She was very huge. Enjoy the pics.

Love the first pic. So glad someone is having luck with this species, they are one of my favourite all brown rays. Congrats!

mom looks relieved its all over lol

Dave,

This is amazing. You have done a great job with them. My hat is off to you.

They look great. I am amazed at their size. They are extremely fat.

This is very encouraging for the hobbyist.

Keep pumping them out and if we are lucky, more people will get to enjoy this really cool species.

Congrats!

Colin
