My red oscar has had hole in the head and is currently being treated with Metro+.... I have done a lot of research on this and it seems that proper of vitamins and nutrients will help in the curing of this disease. The only problem is that my oscar is refusing to eat. I fed my oscar Hikari Cihlid Gold, and Hikari Carnivore Food Sticks. Because my fish won't eat I can't get in the vitamins and nutrients. The medicine also doesn't seem to be working and my LFS said that was the only thing they had that could cure HITH. I do water changes weekly. Should I remove the carbon from my canister filter? Will removing carbon work? Please help. I don't know what to do.

Water change REMOVE CARBON do treatment keep temp high (around 85) and add aquarium salt should see a change

Remove carbon, salt the tank, raise temp to 84ish, double dose Vitachem. It will stop spreading but there will always be a scar.

Ok and by double dose do you mean for example it says 1 tbs for every 5-10 gallons, I would put 2 tbs for every 5-10 gallons?

Ok so i see that vitamins and nutrients are also essential in the healing of my fish but my fish won't eat.... any ideas how to get the vitamins in?
