HITH on 16 inch Mono

I picked up a mono today from a store because they had it in a tank that was not maintained at all. I got it home and noticed it had HITH. I realize that I need to do water changes on a consistent basis (already do) but is there any medication that might help the healing process? I put melafix in with him because he was a little beat up from the netting process.

Try add some sea salt. Lots of water changes. Good luck.

i had the same problem with my mono couple years back..he was 15" i did a 50% wc every 3 days and adding salt..took about a month maybe more but it eventually healed

Vita-chem on the food and clean water. I had a mono that had hith and this cleared it up in less than a month.

I heard vita chem works well, idk how well it works but theres a med called hith guard.

Also feed foods that contain lots of vitamin C.
