HITH is something that often occurs to our older bass. Even when kept in superb conditions HITH will sometime appear. WHy does it occur in some of our older bass? When they are juvies they will not show any sign of this problem when kept in "ideal" water conditions. But as they get older...4+ years and 20"+ HITH will sometimes show its ugly face. Often it occurs in occelaris, temensis and azuls...but that doesnt mean it wont happen with others. Could it be the lack of a good diet? Or could it be the need for black water?
WHat are you experiences w/ HITH and cichla?
HOw old/big are your bass?
WHat is their diet?
Do you keep them in black water?
Do your bass have HITH?
Lets keep this civil guys. NOt a pissing contest. Just trying to figure out how to keep our bass healthy.
