Just concerned i have a 55 gallon grow out tank for my peacock bass and i was concerned with the bass since i noticed a little black dot on the top of his head. I took him out of the tank and held him in the net and looked at the top of his head more clearly i actually think its part of his coloring but im just concerned with the whole (feeding them feeders will be eventually down the road cause death). No one said it but i need it to be more clearly advised. and im actually curious to if this could be HITH. i fed them one time with feeders and now i got them onto frozen Hikari blood worms and they enjoy those. im wondering if this could be a leading cause to the HITH problem i already read the forum about this but i need some more clear advice. My question is will Frozen blood worms cause HITH if i do my weekly water change and add the salt to the water and some prime?? If so can anyone lead me to a food where they will like (they don't like flake or pellet) blood worms were the only thing other than feeders they excepted i even starved them for a one week and a half week period and yet they wont except the pellets nor flakes. if anyone knows can you help me. (sry should be posted more into the Peacock forum but im more concerned with HITH).

Thanks i mean i am only feeding them Frozen blood worms because of the ick problem and they seem to like them more than pellets. They will spit the pellets out after chomping on them so i said heck with it ill just go with the Frozen blood worms

You can always sprinkle some metronidazole in their food.

I have heard of that but that wont need to be on the Blood worms since they are pretty much persevered really well also the Dats i have with them as soon as they drop on the sand the dats come and pick them off. Idk if they except Pellets yet they dont seem to have a liking to them but i know water conditions will cause HITH so i try to feed each fish as much protein and other foods they will accept. thank you For the help
