Hi,im going to bring up what i guess is an old question but any advice would be much appreciated !
I have recently had micro bubbles coming from my fluval FX5 :irked: i have tryed renewing all pipes, ends o rings and cleaned the impeller also took most of the media from the bucket so im at my wits end ! I have used all original fluval parts except the hoses i opted for smooth instead of ribbed {inside} as i thought it would be a benifit to the flow.
Thanks in advance

I had problems with bubbles in mine as well. My hoses were too long, and would exit the canister and drop down maybe 1/2" from the outlet/inlet. Took me to figure this out. So make sure your hoses are correct length. Another thing I've heard about is overtightening the top. Sometimes if they're tightened too much, it warps the o-ring and allows air to enter. I tighten mine down like a you would lugnuts on a car. Tighten 2 across from each other lightly until you get all screws tight, then go back over them and retighten them, but making sure not to over tighten. Hope maybe that little bit will help you out.
