I'll be setting up a 40 gallon breeder soon, and i want to put some sort of cichlid that will not out grow that tank. what would work?

first what types of cichlids do you want? ca/sa? africans? dwarfs? gotta be more accerate with your discreption before we can help you. is the tank cycled? what filteration system do you have?

Yes it is cycled I would prefer CA/SA
