I got my new 55 and I've been thinking about what to put in it. I probably won't actually purchase anything until august (its cycling) but I'm having a blast planning. I know I want cichlids, and I know I want color. Lots of it. I read in another thread that someone with a 55 could pull off having a bunch of african cichlids... but... I'm new. I looked online and I get so confused when they talk about the different lakes they come from and all that. What species would I be looking at?? I have a few LFS around with decent cichlid selections but there won't be anything too rare. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Oh... if theres anyway I could put a pair of 7'' senegal bichirs in with these fish that would be absolutely awesome. They need a bigger home... I don't know if thats possible though.
