Well I got one out of the batch that isn't looking so good. Can't say I noticed it when I got them all, but lately he's really stuck out. I'm guessing he probsbly has the dreaded skinny disease but I'm not sure.

He is pretty small and skinny, his eyes look black, and his back looks arched almost like he has scoliosis in fish form...best I could describe it lol.

I've seen him eat and he acts pretty normal, he just looks sickly. Well what do you guys think? The other thing is I don't really have a quarantine tank...what can I do for the little guy?

I got one like that too and EWURM suggested feeding it a high protein diet to fatten it up. I put mine in my in-tank refugium and feed it bloodworms, brine shrimp and small pieces of market shrimp. I have fed him daily for about 10 days and he's looking much better. Give it a try

Use levamisole hydrochloride. As it is pretty safe, you can treat the fish along with the rest. Feed the fish plenty of foods aside from treatment.

On the other hand, get a quarantine tank. This is a must no matter the reasons. If you are to protect your current stocks from possible disease carriers, then you will see why a quarantine tank is very important.

I also use praziquantel when I feed, that usually takes care of it.

Is praziquantel a food supplement?

It is not. It is a medicine used to get rid of intestinal parasites.

Can you find it in stores...like say petsmart or petco? Or would I have better like at an lfs? Any good brand?
Pharmacies. Look for Flagyl.

Depending on where you're located meds true antiB's may be very hard to get. Anyone who needs info or to order this med or any other you might need for your fish should try http://www.nationalfishpharm.com/. They were recomemded to me last yr on this site & I've used them twice since. They are an actual pharmacy you can buy from & are able to help answer questions if need. I haven't found any other place like them anywhere. Hope this helps anyone in need.
