Some suggestions? I have a yummy 30g tank and thinking to do a puffer, I sand substrate already though may change this to a more suitable colour, it has a lot of plants in but readily adapted but which puffer to choose suvatti or mirius?

Mirius - seems to appeal to me more in colour and looks though having looked around quite hard to obtain

Suvatti - available local though slightly less appealing.

I know these puffs are not the most active of puffs and they tend to be lurkers and burrowers, personalities varying, but which do you find more active? For both are open tanks with bogwood good?

Both are pretty much identical to care, feeding & behavior.

Thanks Pufferpunk :) So the only real difference is appearance. The only thing I had considered with the congo was I would want to try and match the sand colouration (eg. natural then natural, red or orange with red sand) whereas the suvatti doesnt matter I suppose and would do just fine with the sand I have.

Yes, to keep my red Congo's color, I mixed 75% black sand with 25% red gravel.

Well I am going to see a congo tomorrow and believe it is a brown colour so may stick to my darker substrate if so. Thank you so very much for all the fantastic help and tips

As it turns out it was a mislabelled suvatti and a really poorly one at that with a high price tag :(

I am looking locally and tried various sites, but if anyone knows of any in the UK please give us a bell.

Check at TPF. Lots of Brits there.
